  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience or defiance of authority, or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a student.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE

ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE

  • As regular attendance is an important element for successful work, previously written applications for leave must invariably be asked for and for serious reasons only. In case of sickness or other unforeseen circumstances, the pupil, on returning to school must have the reason of absence certified by his parent or guardian counter-signed by the Principal before the pupil enters the class. Applications for leave should be briefly written in the school calendar alongside the corresponding date. Under normal circumstances leave will not be easily sanctioned once a student comes to school.
  • If a pupil is absent for 15 days without leave, his/her name will be removed from the class rolls; and the usual admission fee will be charged if the pupil is re-admitted.
  • No pupil may absent himself from any examination, except when prevented by reasons of health, in which case a medical certificate is required.

HOME STUDY & PARENTAL CO-OPERATION

  • Parents will readily understand that a good amount of study and serious home study is required for success, so they will see that at least five hours of study are put in by pupils of Std. IX and an hour less for pupils of Std. VIII. Children of the Primary should put in between 2 and 3 hours of study at home.

  • PARENTS ARE REQUESTED NOT TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CLASSROOM. You may meet the teachers during the time notified to you on the second Saturday of every month
  • When parents enquire or write concerning their children they should mention the standard and particular section in which the children study at present.

  • Remarks on a pupil’s conduct and progress will be given in the school calendar.
  • Parents are expected to take note of these remarks as well as of the examination results (given in the report cards) and confer with the teachers and the Principal regarding the child’s progress.
  • Failure to be cooperative with the school in this endeavor may put their child at great inconvenience.
  • No parent is allowed to visit the classroom, interview the teacher, or summon a student without the express permission of the Principal.
  • Private tuition is not encouraged.
  • Teachers are not allowed to tutor their own pupils.

PARENTS’ TEACHERS’ MEETINGS
